Thanks for posting those, I will have a look at them. I have heard of the "hour of code" before, but never checked into it.
There is also Microsoft Virtual Academy. They have a lot of Beg -Adv video courses. They are also free. I have taken a few of the HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript/jQuery courses. I have been a back end developer and it's time I learn front end and app dev. They are very easy to follow along. |

Another free learn to code resource - http://www.codecademy.com/ courses in HTML & CSS, Javascript, Python, Ruby and PHP.
Easy to use and with support forums as well. |

If I were a 104 year old kid, I think I might see it as a bit late to learn coding. I am related to an 80 year old kid who finds logging on to anything a challenge. |
