Egypt is a country I was not prepared for, but that will change over the weekend, I will design a WU form which will inform money recipients in potential "bezness" countries (that would be Tunisia, Morocco, Turkey and Egypt above all) that WU payments exceeding 250 € will only processed if the recipient provides a passport copy and a bank account.

Hello Micheal,

I went to my Sparkasse branch today and spoke with my account manager, and he told me that the Sparkasse does not work together with Western Union, and definitely never will.
He strongly recommended me to stay away from that type of service, because serious people do not use it, it is mostly used for money laundering for the benefit of international terrorism.
Why do you tell me to do a thing like that?

What are you trying to tell me here?
I was just REPEATING what my banker told me.
If there is ANY need for further discussion, I will happily give you his email address, and the two of you might get deeper into the subject.
Maybe it is a different story to send money to Italy than to Egypt.....simply because Italy is a decent European catholic country, whereas Egypt has considered to be "quasi-Arabian" wilderness, with all that comes with that.
I don't know.....I will have to see.
I am still waiting for your pictures......the pics of hour hotel, and of course the pics of the cars you are planning to sell.
You will have to understands....I have to be careful after that incident

You better behave yourself if you don't want to make me really mad.
You have not given me any payment information, I am still waiting for these details I will need. I have no experience with the Western Union nonsense, but I am willing to give it a try.
Does the payment go to your name, and what is your address?
Please let me have the details asap, and don't dare to get that snotty one more time!
And just so you know, I will not send the money without you signing a loan contract, and I will charge an interest rate. When will you pay that money back to me?

I am very angry now. I just came home from that Western Union, thank you for your mail and the explanation.
However, the payment did not go through, the transfer was cancelled, and they have kindly printed me a report, which I have attached to this mail.
Honey, it seems I won't be able to pay you that money if you don't have any bank account.
What shall I do now?

what do you mean, I should go to another Western Union?
I have already asked the clerk at the place where I was today and he said it is not a problem of the sender's location or the WU store they choose, but it is related to the recipient's country.
And it is not that they won't allow the money transfer, it is just subject to special terms and conditions. If I did not get that guy totally wrong, it must have something to do with the sponsoring of Islamic State terrorists, that is why they want to be be able to identify recipients of payments in the listed countries, now I don't know what to do can I not just send the money to the account of your hotel because a hotel must have an account.
