I want to start romance baiting

Hi! I have read the faqs and I'm really itchy for this kind of bait, the problem is I have never receied a romance scammer email. so I may have to set up a dating site account.

Are there any special suggestions on this regard? maybe some good sites to use or what info to write would be very welcome.

Also, is it better if I bait as a woman or a man?

Any other tips would also help a lot, thanks in advance

Spammed romance scripts are kind of uncommon-most of the lads and vlads hang out at dating sites and FB. Fishmeetfish is a perennial favorite. Or go check over at ScamWarners.

As fr which gender, take your pick. Most of us do both!

If you do set up a Profile try to make it as Hideous as possible so that you don't attract 'Real People'. An Ugly photo, Odd hobbies and such will ensure you aren't attracting the wrong sort.

I've just started trying my hand at baiting as a man, and from my experience ladettes are all the same, they seem to end up a straight baits, wanting to transfer millions to your account, with a bit of love thrown in.

The lads, of course want cash, but they seem to be more inventive, so you can mess with them so much more, I've also picked up a few straight baits on the dating sites.

That's just my opinion, but as they say above try both and see which you prefer. Good luck and have fun.

I'm doing almost the same, I did join and now have a list of guys and girls that look like lads and vlads, but since my photo hasn't been aproved I cant message them yet hahaha... at least that gives me time to check if they actually are lads

I've done both male and female. When I am male, the lads seem to ask for "small amount" like sanitary supplies or medicine for cramps. My female character gets requests for investments.

I take them off those scripts ASAP (inheritance,investments or big boxes) and follow next victims baits, telling them I am not interested in their money, that I am here for love, not money and they need to decides what they are after and if it's not love, then good-bye.

Eventually, they'll need money to come over to join me in the US, which I don't mind paying for, they just have to get me an account. Sometimes their dear mother is sick and needs the bill paid, no problem, get me a bank account.

I don't mess with WU, bank account only.

If you want to read a straight romance bait, read the "Rosy" link in my sig line. It's one of NV's classic baits and shows how disgusting and low these romance lads will go.

Yep Ginger, I do. has been on FMF for a little over a year and a few weeks ago joined the minlge2 (she's mostly done other straight baiting for the last year). FMF still hasn't posted her profile pictures, so I have given up baiting as her there. I haven't done much baiting as it's been a crazy year. Since I only go for piggies the lads don't stick around for long. I mostly just waste their time.

Once I have something worthy of publishing, I will post it. But, they're really boring and not worthy of wasting space on Eater. Now that real life is settled down a bit, I can devote more time to my pets. I've been sick the past 2 weeks and have a ton of emails on mingle2 that I need to go through. I have an "unofficial" mentor who is going to help me along with Essie, so I might post some of her baits soon.

the_doctor: Next Victim is one of the best straight romance baiters here on Eater, any of his threads are great to read. I model my baits on his as I just straight bait. I am not that creative to get them to do silly stuff and would suffer in comparison to the masters here on Eater. Razz

@the_doctor-metrodate is quick to yank the lads off their site so you may see your new loves disappear suddenly-they will be quick to go to yahoo or skype.

@SBAH-don't be too hard on yourself, boring baits bringeth more pork (or so I've heard) and anything that wastes lad time is a win.

I second that! I read NV's baits for about six months before I decided to take the plunge. His baits are a must read if you really want to get into their heads. He is a master baiter! I do miss him... Sad

^^^^ It's funny that you say that coffinsurfer, as it's YOUR Joseph bait that lit a fire under me and compelled me to start baiting. I hate that man with a passion. Probably hate him most of all the lads.

@oscarpiles. Wish I'd seen your inventive FMF profile before now. I have two of my characters, one 'male' and one 'female' who between them have six lad/ladettes on the simmer from FMF, but I've always been concerned about the possibility of inadvertently involving ITP's. I'm confident that the ones I'm currently baiting are out-and-out 419-ers (In fact, the latest is a classic 'Gold' lad) but I've now decided that I'll use two new characters fashioned in the mode of your guy as my catchers. @Ahmastin Geebougah – I set that up on the Fly after a Mentee wanted to learn how to Romance Bait and I didn’t have any experience in the Field.

Obviously Lads don’t really care who they are trying to ‘Romance’ eh?
