I'll let the others discuss the OP, as I have nothing to add about that. I was going to make a comment in my first post, but decided to stay calm.

So far as Dr. Phil--I have seen several of his shows where it's been a romance scam, and Dr. Phil publicly shames these women. He quesions whether they now feel stupid?

There was one episode where he had an investigator unravel the truth, which the investigator did a great job doing. But Dr. Phil kept publicly shaming her.

EDIT: I don't believe that the woman expected that when she went on his show. I think that while she may have gone on the show for help, I can't imagine going on a television show and exposing my life.

Well, I don't know who this Dr Phil guy is. I assume he's one of those TV presenters who become rich and famous by sensatonalising stories of human grief and tragedy on the pretext of making everything good and sweet for everybody concerned, when in fact it is a source of gratification and amusement for the ghouls, sadists and voyeurs who seek a ready source of shadenfreude in order to spice up their dull little existence (Why do I get the feeling I've just described the OP?).
