One of my lads, who was pretending to be a hot Caucasian, just admitted he is actually a black man and was trying to get money from me. Never saw it going this way. I have no idea where to go with this now.

I had this happen before also. The bait fizzled shortly after for other reasons but I kept it going at the time by saying that I completely understood and who could blame him given that --blah blah blah excuses excuses.

It is still a scam. The next step will likely be his asking you for money as he is having trouble making a legit living and (doesn't want to return to crime, wants to go to school, etc.).

That's where I assumed he would be going with it. I've been tired of him for a while, he's whiny and boring. This should give me a way to cut ties and leave him pissed that he missed a good score.

You could, or, when he finally asks you for a hand-out, you could ask him to prove he has gone straight by... I don't know.... Taking a picture of himself holding a sign saying that he renounces 419?

Actually lottasports, it could get real interesting.

You could 'restart' the romance starting at day one. Eventually your character falls in love all over. If he smells any kind of way to get money from you he won't have problems meeting you at the airport...in a different country since everyone knows when travelling to the lad's home country there is a detour (safari).

How long have you had him on the hook?

I'll be interested to see where this goes as I've just hooked a black man who's profile said he was in the US but admits he's in Nigeria, still very new but he loves me already! I'm not sure yet if he's a scammer or not, never had one like this before.

Now I see his angle, he is trying to pull the "I want to better myself by going to school route". I'm telling him I have no trust now, the only way he'll be getting a cent is if I pay the school directly.

Or introducing a male "concerned friend" that could call (you could ask your mentor.. Wink

I've talked to him, but could probably have someone play one of my guy friends he has already heard about. I told him they suspected he was shady.

Why not tell him you'll go to Lagos!!! Build him up by going on endlessly about how much you're so looking forward to meeting him. Ask him to meet you at the airport.

And on the day, ask why he isn't in PORTUGAL with you??? And then tear him a new asshole for not turning up!
