^^^Oh...so nothing that provides a service to the lazy and elite? Like, I could drive, but there's a cab. Well, my hair needs cut but it is too hard to see the back. I'd like a nice Single Malt, but it is too much trouble to poor it myself. Mmmmm...coffee sounds good, but instead of pouring water in, I'd rather spend $6 on a cup and leave the $0.67 for the "barista."

Now I'm clear. "Menial" jobs and those that don't require a Ph. D. Aren't proper. My bad.

We are hating the bashing of the ancient art of noodling. Also known as grabbing and fisting and while that may also desribe a TMF and B8ER date, it is only used here to describe hand fishing

Definitely not - only last week I gave the kitchen boy half an hour off unpaid to attend his mother's funeral. Nice lad, unfortunately I had to let him go the next day as he kept crying and the tears were making the foie gras salty

[rant]Maybe I did mean fair not proper, my point was that if I pay restaurant prices for my grub, I expect the owner to pay his staff properly and not expect me to have to do it for him. A tip should be on top of a good wage, not needed to make it up. It puts me off ever going on a cruise, where they pay staff from the poorest countries utter peanuts, pre tip, or even to the USA again[/rant]

My first Ex-wife worked for a place like that. They gave her shifts with the lightest amount of business then said that the first $20.00 she got paid per shift was her tip money. I don't remember her making a dime in the two weeks she worked for them before telling them to Shove it.
