Just looked up Fae in the OED and it gives this:

Mine is pretty simple. The Great Escape is one of my favourite movies, and I was watching it the night I signed up.

In the film, the character Roger Bartlett (aka Big X) vows to "harass, confuse, and confound the enemy to the best of [his] ability". I'd like to be able to say I've done just that. Very Happy

When I first signed up, I used my baiting character's first name, so definitely wanted to change that. I made the switch a couple of weeks ago, and I chose Kitty La Gore because:

- It's a play on the famous Bond Girl name (the original actress is in my avatar)
- In my past, I was a roller derby skater and I wish I'd chosen that skater name
- It seemed to fit well with baiting romance scams
- The image of a sweet little gal goring lads tickled me

It's a nice example of wordplay that depends a lot on English dialect (in addition to creative spelling, differences in word choice and pronunciation make it really hard for some English speakers).

I am reminded of the Led Zeppelin song title "D'yer Mak'er" for which I completely missed the pun until decades later.
