I am investigate-environmental journalist. one month ago I became victim of scammers. before 2 days one of my colleague became scammers victim, also. both scammers are from africa-nigeria and sudan, and they started with love letters. last 3 days "my " scammer(s) needs money, urgently...

thank you very much, I'll do it.
I just sent last e-mail to "my" scrammers, I wrote that I recognized who are/is they...my colleague stop comunication with "girl scrammer" from sudan/senegal, also.

I need some peaceful days, than I'll start to write story about these brutal criminals....I'll inform you about next "events" with scrammers and what will happen to me and my colleague,

Don't tell a scammer that you figured out he's a scammer. He may learn how to scam better.

I never made Croatia but I did spend a week in Slovinia. (Portoroz)

But that was way back before the war. (1988 or 1989??)

800 Dinar to a US Dollar. Only beer was Union Pivo. Not bad, but not as good as Stuttgarter Hofbrau.

Sorry you were scammed.
Keep an eye out for other scammers trying to tell you they can get your money back. They are scams also.

I'm sorry that this happened to you and your colleague. I would also encourage your colleague to visit Scamewarners.

I was in Bosnia after the war and trekked up and over to Zagreb on several occasions - I liked the people I met there, both related to work and just interacting with them.

The monument of bricks was very haunting and touching.

I also was able to spend some time in Split, which was stunningly beautiful, and again, the people there were wonderful.

I'm glad that you know where Croatia is:-) nice country, but with so much corruption, criminal , mafia, poverty, etc etc...

about topic: where I can check from where scammers e-mail arrive? I tried to check it from recommended web, but it needs paying!

this person or group who scammed me is still active on LinkedIn....
how I could stop him...?
I sent few warning e-mails to my friends, and some of them told me that they got "friendship call" from this person from LinkedIn.

he use same e-mail chrisxp014@ but only change "aol" or "gmail" and change first name to "andrew" or "robert" oder "chris"

for example, this letter send me my colleague, he got it in january.
"Happy New Year to you and your family, I have an urgent business proposal to share with you. If only you will be interested. write back to me here. Thanks Robert Marc oil and gas owner [email protected] United Kingdom.2014 January 13"

I don't now what I could say.... Sad

Doubtful that you could in this case. The scammer may also be "borrowing" from a real person and simply changing some of the details.

The best thing to do is to post on Scamwarners so that you can get advise specific to your questions and to also put the scam out to the search engines to help warn other people who may have the same questions as you do.
