I just want to say thank you to all of you for doing what you do.
For a variety of health reasons I've been advised by my doctors to not participate in baiting. I sometimes struggle to separate true from false.
I have however opened their eyes and made so many other people aware of this forum, Scamwarners and some of the tricks used to get money out of people.
Keep on doing what you do and I'll keep supporting from a distance! |

Hi Collieflower, baiting isn't ideal for everyone, and it is brilliant that you are strong-minded and sensible enough to take advice and realise that it isn't ideal for you. Yes, you are right, you can still do so much that is useful, though, by raising awareness about scams. And that information may save many from becoming victims.
All good wishes! |

I don't want to guess the number - But, lad, isn't that the best fun to be had with MoneyGram reference numbers? |

Welcome Collieflower, We welcome polite spectators and happy passengers
Baiting is a rather black art, imposing as we do on others a constructed reality that can completely take over a scammer's life and ruin his wicked business, so in context you have probably made a sensible decision. Not a problem, just drop in and read the stories and have a great time.
Thanks also for helping to spread the word about advance fee fraud in general. It is incredibly dangerous to victims that don't see it coming and anything you can do to raise awareness is very much worthwhile. A number of us have organised similar things with podcasts, lectures, advice sessions and similar so if you need any help with it, or you've found a trick that works well, then just let us know - it all helps. |
