ok guys and gals, i'll say right up front i have never worked one of these, had a live one find me via skype, heck i had no idea they were working this angle so i need either advice or someone to take this off my hands that has had experience in this skype work !!!, she is a young cutie but i am WAY in over my head on this one ha ha ha , any advice would be greatly appreciated !!! Shocked

I would suggest you sign up for a mentor if you haven't yet done so.
If you are baiting with any real info, drop this one.

thanks ginger, this is sound advice i am sure, It was of coarse my fault that i didn't see it for what it was until my spidey senses started too tingle. i'm sure my skype account is passed around by now so i may hafta start using an alias of some sort, i just never imagined they would start doing a face to face operation ha ha ha , oh well, lesson learned. thanks again

Great tips from Ginger, safe baiting is the key. I don't use Skype myself but often use the risky free mentor on here! Sign up!

Ginger is right on the money-if any of your real info is on your account, particularly if you've used a cam, cut off contact. One thing these scammers are notorious for is reusing cam footage taken of victims.

If you want to skype bait, make up a totally fake account, keep the camera off and use the messaging. By the way, in all likelihood, your "she" is a he.
Read the stickies, they have tons of good info and sign up for a mentor for some hands-on how-tos.

Hi wywildman. Welcome and what every one else said about being safe. Read stickies, read other baits, get a mentor and always feel free to ask here for advice.

I wouldn't start with anything like skype initially, get yourself a couple fake email accounts and start baiting. Get comfortable with what lads will try and tell you. Get to understand what lads think like...err wait a sec...can you use lads and think in the same sentence??

Welcome to the forum wywildman! As stated above, many times, always bait using false information and that includes a bogus skype account. I think they allow you at least 3 more using fake info.

Skype is actually a great start if you like to chat and talk by headphone. If you are noot comfortable with either of these then you can always try to move him to email which can be accomplished usually in the first chat ortwo with a picture request. Don't allow them to send save files through skype, make them send it by email.

There are a bunch of people that can walk you through skype chat just let your mentor know if he or she is on there as well. If not ask on the board and someone will be glad to teach you the ropes.

Use of Skype requires patience. You need to set up a fake account and leave logged on for few days with profile age 40-60, average looking photo not too good not too bad. But people ask you to add to contact are 99.99% scammers. Most of them I caught were from Ghana. Suggest that ask the lad. Communicate through email after 2,3 times of chat, otherwise they will drop you if you do not respond to their chat. In fact chat will restrict your time, and our time should not be ruled by lad.

And as others suggests, please apply mentor program.

thanks again guys, and yes i have applied for a mentor, just pm'ed him since i have not heard from him/her yet. just to clarify, i wasn't baiting at the time of the lads surprising arrival. in fact, being new to skype i was unaware that they had progressed into the field with such agility. fortunately for me i was aware of you fine folks from years ago and after some fumbling around i managed to find you again Smile

. i guess it was just my dumb luck to have a lad that practicly is baiting himself plop right into my lap and now like a well meaning fisherman, i must throw him back ha ha ha. i must admit thou, they sure pick pretty girls to sit in front of the camera Wink

well, back to studying the stickies .

Most likely your pretty girl is in an internet porn chick.
Scammers simply use stolen credit cards to join porn sites, then they download videos of some of the girls and use simple software to edit them to create fake webcam.
