This bait was in fact failed bait. Lad is gone now. But this shows some example what real victim can do, so let me post. If you know your friend or relative being caught by military impersonator, she can do the same. (Jump to the last part if dislike reading lengthy boring conversation. The last part is what I learned from this bait.)

Let me name this lad “Col. Reset” because I found that this lad closes his Facebook when his con art not going well, and re-open another account. The first closure was perhaps the previous victim said something that shows she came to aware of scam, and closed the FB. Then he sent email to my character, saying that his FB had to close because of security reason in Afghanistan. Then after my character refer to APO and .mil, no email response then he has closed his FB again. Perhaps say same thing to current victim when he try to contact her again, terrorist attack or security issue and closed FB and reopened.

My FB character was initially created to bait another lad who is a fake general (introduced from other baiter). But after short chat, he blocked me for some reason. Currently used for another baiter’s backseat player (dummy friend) by clicking “Likes” and occasionally comment, pretending not knowing what is going on with her and her “boi friend.”

To prevent ongoing bait of that baiter being found by lad, let me name my character Linda. The Col. Reset requested Linda to add him as friend on FB. Linda accepted. This was earlier in Feb.

Before his first closure of FB, Linda had short chat with Col. Reset. He said he is only child to his late parents; wife is dead and no kids. Linda told him that she dislikes childish chat and prefer email. After few days not receiving any emails, Col. Reset closed his facebook. Then he sent email to Linda using anonymous proxy.

Linda found several pictures posted to the Colonel’s Facebook and liked all photos. Then next day, Col. Reset deleted all stolen photo of real Colonel (mostly taken in Iraq, not in Afghanistan). Linda found that one lady added to his friend, so now Colonel Reset has 2 women as friends. Let’s name her Vicky the real victim.

Linda made little mistake or confusion. AFO is for Marine, APO is for Army and Air Force. However, lad ignored APO/AFO but correctly answered that the friend Angela’s BF is Marine. But probably for Linda, it does not matter if Angela’s BF is in Japan base and Angela knows something about military.

I am moving to Beijing tomorrow morning via Cathay Pacific and arriving Beijing airport by noon. I will be staying at hotel for a while until I find my apartment there. Hotel internet access should be OK but after moving into apartment, there might be some interruption of internet access. My responses may be slow. But please tell me your APO.

No responses for 3 days, then found that Colonel Reset has closed his Facebook. Most likely I did wrongly on this bait, implicated military friend and asked .mil and APO.

Perhaps, Colonel Reset thinks Angela is either real military man’s girlfriend or a worried friend advising Linda to ask him APO/AFO and .mil.

I could not get piggies and/or play around fake WU/MG but this gave an example of asking military scammer about APO/AFO and .mil address will let the lad go away. If a real victim started suspecting the guy she is in contact with, try with APO/AFO and .mil email will make it clear. Especially if a solider in war zone or sensitive area, most likely use of private emails are discouraged, so no choice but have to use .mil addy for private correspondence too. So the lad cannot excuse saying use of .mil addy for private emails are prohibited for security reasons.

Don't get discouraged, learn from where you went wrong and move on. Never correct glaring lad mistakes, just go along with whatever he tells you. I know it's tempting sometimes, but just play along.

You could always create a new fake baiter email and bait the same lad again Wink

I tried to be like real victim for this bait, thought of if I were a victim, brought this result. Most likely, Jealous Linda plus Aggressive Emi divided by 2 shall be good for baiting character:p

I thought go smoothly for lads should be always baiters wanting piggies.

Ah "Linda" will be in Kuala Lumpur next week for meeting with supplier and then entertainment during weekends!! Thanks a lot!!

You DID accomplish a diversion for him , you did most certainly have him! He was your lil pet , and you had him eating from your hand! All of his "love you forever" , "G-d brought us together" , all his faith and prayers and the "missing rib" comment , he is probably west African. Telling how he described his "security measures" except it is not with the talibanese , insurgents , or military enemies that he is concerned with ! I just despise how they use faith and religion to try and make people think they are ligit!! Just SO SO low!! Good job!!

By the way non military guy (marine engineer) sent message to Linda. I guess this one may be same lad?? Probably can't go with military for Linda, so use non military identity. Oh my dear roach came back, hahaha. Prepare bunch of news papers to squash!!

Another reason I think that marine engr is my roach is because he does not friend request Linda and befriended with Vicky, knowingly Linda may dislikes Vicky listed as his friend. (But Linda is friend to Vicky now:p)
