Captain's log, day, umm: Yes, it is day. Or it was. Ahoy! Message from the Captain:
The only mutiny I suffered today was the right front tire of my car. But it was a fine morning to sit on the curb and contemplate the fact that the day was going to be full of contemplation. A kind EMT just getting off work noticed my contemplation and stopped to help with the spare. At the tire store, I contemplated on the manager who agreed they never should have sold me those tires in the first place (too big for my little ride). After contemplating my contemplation, he placated me with a new set that fits, and gave me a 50% discount for my contemplative distress.
During my contemplative boredom (4.5 hours at a tire shop tends to cause me tension - I'd already written down the interesting beet recipe from the only magazine that wasn't dated 2011), I walked next door to a pawn shop, where I was met with rack after rack of guns, power tools, and a set of bongo drums. I contemplated very intensely. Guns or bongos? I burst out laughing, realizing I was standing in a pawn shop on a random Monday contemplating "Guns or bongos."
I will go back for the bongos tomorrow.
