Good Morning Michael,

I'm in Frankfurt/Germany, at the airport. I have just arrived from Philadelphia, and thank God the weather is unusually mild for this time of the year, so I'm out of the cold.
I am still waiting for my colleagues, we will have a crew meeting here from 8.00 am to 9.00 am, and then I will go to my hotel.
I used the time to check my mail.
My bank has sent me a message which kind of relieved me.
The money could NOT be transferred to Filomenas account, it came back. They couldn't say why, no reason was given.
So we have a problem now.
Can I not just transfer the money into Kenneth's account?
William has written me, and there are so many things he wants me to buy for him; this could all be done easily if I just send the money to Kenneth, then the two of them can go out for a shopping tour, and our son can have his presents, and he will be a little bit happy at least.

I am glad he has such an outlandish response to his sending his son to Africa. Hopefully a real victim would drop him quick. They really think women are stupid. I am not staying in a hotel now. After the staff meeting was over, I went for a breakfast with one of my mates, Julia. I'm staying with her now, at her place. We will just have some time to take our clothes to the dry cleaner, and then we will have to sleep our jet lag away. It hits me harder when I'm flying into Europe from North America..... the other direction don't bother me at all, I don't know why that is!
Tonight we will leave Frankfurt with LH 506 with service to Sao Paulo/Brasil. We will have 2 days of rest there, and I'm looking forward to enjoying some time on the beach of Santos. Julia and I will share a lease car and drive down to the coast Smile

Hello Michael,

I just woke up, and i must say I feel much better now. I get these headaches every once in a while, and it's really horrible. The only thing that helps is swallow some painkillers, darken the room ans sleep it away.
I wanted to talk to you about the money transaction; I had planned to send it into Ken's account, now you gave me details of another person.
Who is that? I'm just concerned that whoever it is could have some foul play on his mind nad just keep it for himself instead of passing it on to our son. I would prefer to transfer the money into Ken's account rather, to be on the safe side. What town are they staying in? I don't think I have already asked that!
I was amazed when I saw the picture, what a pretty pretty boy!
Please tell him that I will write him later, Julia is waiting for me. It's 7.00 am now, and we plan to go for some breakfast before the restaurant will be too crowded.
Then we will pack up, check out and leave our stuff at the airport.
We will head out at 7.20 pm to Paris, it's an Air France flight, I don't have to work, they will just get us back into Europe.

Good morning my sweet baby love!

I am sorry that I was not able to write yesterday afternoon, I have spent most of my late afternoon and early evening at the hospital. You won't believe what happened, I broke my left wrist when a mass panic occurred at the supermarket while I was doing my shopping!
Some woman detected that there was a spider crawling around on the bananas, and she screamed, and then it all went totally crazy. Every one was trying to get away and out, an alarm was set off, an in the heat of the moment I was basically trampled down by a bunch of people who wanted to reach the exit. I fell, and because I was trying to avoid to hit the ground to hard, my wrist just cracked apart. It was horribly painful, and I can still hear the sound of the bone when it broke.
I can tell you, that was the worst situation I have ever experienced! The police and fire fighters were there, the whole place was shut down, and I guess they are still trying to hunt down that disgusting, hairy little beast. I heard word going around that it might be a venomous one, so the supermarket will be closed until they will have tracked it down.
I was taken to hospital by an ambulance, and it took several hours in the emergency room until some doctor found the time to take care of me.
I can't work aboard now for 3 or 4 weeks, because my wrist is bandaged, I don't know what the English word is, you know, it's that kind of stuff which is white and wet when they put it on, and then it gets stone hard. I have called my operator this morning, and they told me that they will assign me to the information desk at Cologne/Bonn Airport for the next weeks, so I can just sit there and answer questions. That's fine with me, now that it's been treated, the pain is bearable, and it is always good to have something to do.

I thought about selling my house, what do you say? I mean, once your retirement is near we will have to live in the States anyway, because of William and his school, right? I think I will put it on the market this week.
Do you have any new information about the end of your assignment in Afghanistan?
Maybe you have a chance to drop out earlier, have you inquired about that?

I miss you so much, and I can hardly wait to see you for the first time!

Good morning, my One and Only!

What a joy to find your mail when I switched my computer on!
Isn't it truly amazing that you say you felt something was not right.... and at the same time something really happened to me?
To me that proves the bond between us has grown so immeasurably strong now that we will overcome whatever the future might hold.
Today I don't have to work, I will get back tomorrow, I will have to start at 8.00 am, and then through to 5.00 pm.

Of course I am not in trouble, that's not why I want to sell the house. I was just thinking about or golden future, and it makes no sense to keep it when we will be living in the USA after we will have got married.
Right now the market is good for vendors, and it won't cost me anything, because the buyer will have to pay the full commission fee for the Real Estate Agent. The agent will come by later today to have a look at the place and take some photos. I have talked to him on the phone already, and he is convinced that I might be able to ask for at least 750 000,00 €. It's one of these old fashioned little villas, with a lovely garden where I grow roses above all. I will forward you some of the pictures the agent will take, as soon as he has sent them to me, then you can see for yourself what it looks like.
We could use some of that money for William's education; he has told me in one of his mails that he wants to become a doctor, and then he wouldn't have to work at McDonald's or something while he will be in Harvard Medical School, what do you think?

I could move in with Julia, she agreed at once when I asked her. She would of course ask me to pay her some rent, but that would be less than it costs me to keep the house up and running, if you know what I mean. So I would be able to put more money aside for the future.

You have not answered my question: when will you be able to get out of your assignment? Would the Army possibly allow you a vacation?
Oh please, ask them! I could apply for a vacation, too, so there could be an opportunity to meet!

Good evening, my Love!

Oh my.... I'm totally worn out, the Real Estate Agent was here late afternoon, and it seemed he just wouldn't want to go.
There were tons of forms I had to fill out, and there are still some left; there is information required I cannot even access now, I will have to go the City administration and will have them to retrieve the necessary documents I need. It's mostly about construction, plumbing and used materials...technical stuff which I don't know too much about.

I'm so tired, and I will go to bed now. The agent promised me to send the pictures he took during the course of tomorrow.

Honey, I have checked my bank statement, and the amount of 2.195,25 € has been deducted, that equals 3000 $, so the money has left my account and is on the way.... hopefully it won't get wet when it crosses the Street of Gibraltar Smile

I just could snatch the tablet away from my room mate for a second.... not much time to write.
My body aches like crazy, I have a big cut down the belly now, on the right side. It looks horrible and hurts like hell.

What i got to read instead looks like you have copied stuff from a school book of a 2nd grader.
Listen, William.... I am still in hospital, after some very risky and big surgery.
They took out parts of my liver, and by doing so, they broke 3 of my ribs on the right side of my body. I have a horrible cut in my belly, and it hurts like hell.
I can't go to the bathroom without help.
I don't know how my future life will be like now; I might need 2 or 3 additional surgeries, and maybe even a liver transplant. Nobody knows yet.

Oh my gosh, I hate it when they involve children for emotional manipulation. That disgusts me to no end. Daddy needs to be told that children don't need to be told of grown up affairs. Not to mention that a child should not be concerned about presents. He's 14, it's high time that he learns that if he wants something, you do the adult thing and EARN IT and BUY IT yourself. Only then will he appreciate the true meaning of what a gift is. Until then, he doesn't deserve a present. (If my child ever wrote something like that, it's exactly what would happen! I am a mean mommy, I know) The whole "You have money. Michael, this is truly not acceptable. Had he not written that, but said it to me from face to face, I would have slapped him right on the spot, and not only one time, believe me! That kid clearly has mental problems beyond belief, expressing himself on the level of a 7 year old cry baby, begging and demanding....it's simply disgusting. One would expect more maturity and respect in a young man of 14 years. That's maybe because you just don't care as a father..... you obviously practise that shitty laissez-faire-education.
Listen, Darling, I expect you to send him home to the USA immediately, so you should bring that pointless Africa vacation to an end. What good does it do William to hang around in that shithole?
