I would query the number of scams "originating from the US". is this simply down to IP stripping and the format showing as being sent from Redmond or Mountain View?

Reporters and research, don't get me started. As has been mentioned no mention of sox-proxies, or other W-African countries who are just as involved.

Damn though, it does make me want to read Shivver's book, 'bout how things were in the old days before ethics asserted themselves by consensus, and by not wanting to get closed down etc..

I still have thoughts about morality of the old days. Stuff changes. Wink

A decent article. The writer must have felt really clever for being only the millionth person to come up with the ridiculous subtitle "SCAMMING THE SCAMMERS" to describe baiting. Even so proud that it was written in ALL CAPS. But a decent article nevertheless.

Shiver's comments on success rates and the number of lads he has baited are definitely going to my mentor's toolkit for reference.

Pretty good article, until the part where Shiver said how he made a near-perfect fake passport. I realized that was okay back in the day, and no longer allowed. I hope it doesn't give readers the idea that we do that sort of thing today.
