Hi everyone, been a while since I was on here. But I have a fun one for those who have Skype VOIP #s to call a group of Pakistani/Indians doing the call center Federal Bureau of Criminal Investigation scams.
Basically, the troll the internet for a phone number and name and call you trying to put pressure on you to pay "back taxes" before the IRS comes and arrests you. They of course will happily take your credit card information over the phone. It's a twist on the fake callerID spoofing, because they don't fake the number, they leave you a voicemail and HOPE you call them back.
I usually ignore them, but this group is pretty effective (except for their accents). I can see where if they find the right people they can play a convincing game. They know your name, address, and what ever else they can find out in the public internet.
What makes it challenging is they won't talk to you unless you give them your number (or they verify your number in the scam DB by callerID. They seem more sophisticated than most. You can try to pretend you got call, but they are pretty savy. They also know the US government is closed, so they laughed at my friend who said they were going to report them.
That being said, if anyone has some time on their hands and is extremely bored go ahead and give them a call.
They can be found at 646-713-2932
You can google the number and see what the internet is saying about them.
Let me know if anyone has any luck with them. |

Seems like they either took their switch down or someone cut them off at the root.
I found two more relays for them, but they all go to straight to voicemail:
914-343-1704 goes to extension 6061
646-713-2932 goes to extension 6067
215-277-2131 goes to extension 6071
It looks like they go through different telco providers, all three are through different switches, but go to the same call center system at their place. It is a bit curious that they would have just stopped as there have been complaints on the numbers as recent as yesterday. |
