^^I couldn't imagine driving a battery-operated car.

I live in one of the cloudiest and snowiest cities in the U.S.

One of those little battery-operated things would be buried on a typical snowy day.

Battery operated cars are really cool. The Gus family has two... well three as my Mom has one and she no longer drives. The first is a high rider SUV on factory 20"s. Dubs (short for double dimes as in double dime bags.) There's no drive train between the front and rear of the truck as the rear wheels are electric motor only. I resisted buying any truck or SUV as they have twice the fatality rate of passenger cars until vehicle stability control became standard equipment in this truck. I've taken it out into deep untracked snow and it does fine. I remind the drivers in my family that 4 wheel drive has no bearing on braking or road holding ability.

My car has a two speed 650 volt three phase electric motor that does 0-60 in 5.2 secs and tops out at 185 MPH.

This is a video of the new model. Mine is 10% quicker as it uses the Otto cycle and the new version uses the Atkinson cycle.

I watched that video... why was only the driver wearing a helmet?

Actually it wasn't too bad a snow fall but my ATV was minus a starter and I had to rely on somebody to make a path. Once I put my Bike back together (that day) I tried to fix the mess but was having lots of problems. As luck would have it another Plow Guy needed some welding done so he made things better once again.

No we don't get much snow here anymore but maybe its because I'm taller than I once was...a Jeep would go through easily that while my Behemoth bounces of the banks.
