I got to know this guy from facebook recently. We've been going back and forth for the past week or so. He has been busy professing his love for me but I am skeptical. I asked him for his latest pic and the name of the place he lives at to no avail. He have called though and his number is a UK based number according to him. Is there anyway I can check his facts? I do have his numbers with me. Thanks

Within a week and he is in love seems very shady. Have you tried to Google his name? Typically you would get better result from typing "John Doe Scammer" into the search rather than the name alone. That might give you an indication. With no real specifics it is hard to guess at.

Hi Scucca and welcome,

If you emailed off FB, you can check his header which might tell give you a possible location. For his phone numbers, if his number starts with +4470' that's a red flag-it's a redirect intended to hide his actual location.

Other thins-google his email as well as name. Google piece of his letter or profile.

Sadly, the fact that he's telling you he loves you in a week is almost a 100% confirmation. If he's even hinted he needs money, please cut off all contact.

He has two numbers actually that he gave me. One is +4479 and the other is +4487. His pics on fb are taken in Australia, but he stays in London. And he claimed he stayed in London for 20 years after leaving Helsinki. I know I dont take him seriously.. [/b]

AS said ^^ there are numbers that can be used from anywhere, so location of the phone number is basically not his location, why else would he get a number like that?
Drop him, don't give him any personal information.
Then go to your favorite email provider (gmail) and make a new account with your favorite name. From there you can safely bait your new past time.
It's addicting a bit, you'll spent lots of time online, just to bug him Twisted Evil

Get a mentor and read lots about the how to things and security, after all those people are criminals and you wouldn't invite those home.

AFTER you get yourself a new gmail account and make sure there's no personal information on it, hell, yes! Read the stickies, maybe get a mentor and there are tons of ways to make him screw up.

break all contact, he will not appreciate that you waste his time.
You found him on Fakebook so your new character can do that too Smile

You have his email so your new character can by accident sent him an email message that might intrigue him to pick up conversation with you.
You have his phone so a wrong connection can end up in a nice romance Twisted Evil

So many ways to keep him within reach of your new character that you might even bait him twice and when things are going nice you tell him about your good friend (second character) who also found love on the WWW, but you don't know his name yet as she is very protective about her new love Laughing

Read a bit, nothing to it to keep him busy, just keep RL(Real Live) away from him and he never knows he was baited (the best solution we think here, just make him insecure and never let him know what gave it away, that way he doesn't get smarter or better in what he does)

How do I google his pics? And I used tineyes to search for his pic but it came back as 0 results..

Google search---> images---> click on the camera and put in the link to the picture you wanna look for. ( in fakebook right click picture--> copy image location) That simple Smile
