I read this in the news and i am eating my beef well done in the foreseeable future. But i wouldn't really call this Swedish meat, when reading the papers in Sweden it seemed that it is the Hungarian supplier that is at fault. Still it is disgusting and there have been several other scandals in Sweden concerning meat, scandals that have a genuinely Swedish origin. Things like repacking, regrinding and relabeling old meat as new. |

Trading Standards were going around busting fish and chip shops for selling haddock as cod. They were also buying in Vietnamese Pangasius, which can be allergenic (although it tastes ok).
At least the Swedish "beef" is really only pork. Isn't it? |
