Can anyone recommend a good place to get news that DOESN'T have some kind of political spin on it? I am fed up of the left wing/right wing bias in UK media. Are there any good, reliable sites out there that objectively offer just the facts, without the spin? I'd like to be able to make my own mind up rather than having their opinions forced onto me.
(Please don't turn this into a politics thread, I'm simply looking for recommendations of non-political news sites, if there are any. That said, MODS if you think it's too risky to allow, please lock/delete as needed).

You should check out the Spanish media, there's absolutely no newspaper, radio station or TV channel that isn't biased. It has reached a ridiculous level with sport newspapers. |

/\ Not bad advice, I read the Guardian, then the Mail, and assume reality as somewhere between the two. The Daily Mash is a great sendup, though. Both sides accuse the BBC of bias, so they must be getting the balance right some of the time.
A very hard subject to keep apolitical, you just have to realise when you've been spun a line. |

I've never got on with the daily mail, their constant cancer scares and cures are irritating to say the least, plus I hate their font
The paper I read most often is I but they seem 2 be 2 days behind for several topics I've come across. |

Don’t look for unbiased media coverage in the USA. A hint of the extent of the bias, is if they claim no to have it, its REALLY biased.. |

To paraphrase the late Hunter Thompson, those who are looking for neutral, unbiased news need to stick to stock market quotations and baseball box scores.
The Colbert Report is my compass for what is important. I also favor the BBC because once in while I like my news filtered through British commercial and government interests.  |
