He sells IPhone 4 but he excepts PayPal as a reliable payment method.
He answers all my messages fast.
He sells outside of the dhgate site though which alot of iphone 4 suppliers on that site do. But he excepts Paypal.
so the real question kind of is...can i trust Paypal to protect me.

Hey kodyman11. Can you give a bit more information? Like website, email address, etc? Without that, it is hard to give you good help.

And even though PayPal is usually good (however, scammers can and do make fake PayPal websites and email addresses so you need to be cautious), if the price on the iPhone you are looking at is too good to be true, it probably is. Wink

Only 2 transactions since December 2010? And no postive feedback on either of the 2 sales. He has "tons of inventory," but doesn't seem to be selling anything. Red flag here, I think.
Also, check out what kinds of scams or damaged good reports coming from googling dhgate, a Chinese Ebay-like website. The seller could be located anywhere in the world, actually.

I'd be leery if I were you, and deal with an authorized retail or wholesale direct seller, and not an individual who has bought inventory of questionable "certified quality" and re-selling it on a site such as this.

turns out he was a scam
seems like i cant find any authentic iphone 4 suppliers in china.
im done with that place ill just have to file a dispute with PayPal and hope i wins.
