After some time John stopped talking...so we thought we'd try to trip him up:

We are glad to hear that you received the account information.
I checked online this morning on the account details and saw that 2000 USD had been withdrawn, instead of monies coming in. Could you please let us know what is going on with that? Was that a test to ensure that the routing #s and such all worked prior to the big transaction?

We are very excited about this and can't wait to see things moving!

Well Mr. Gelsthorp, which we know is not your real name.

The jig is up!

We know you are a scammer. I won't reveal who I really am, but I can tell you I am an IT professional who also works within document authentication, so I knew right away your passports and such were so fake it was rediculous.

Rest assured, your name is already plastered all over the internet, and so will be your phony pictures. I'm going to make sure that the local authorities here get every single one of these emails, with all of your IP header information which can be used to easily trace you back to where you really are.

It's only a matter of time now John. You're going to get caught, and then you're going to spend quite a long time in jail. I hope you are prepared for that. Was it really worth it? Was it worth trying to steal money from others? Just think about that when you make friends with the big guy on the top bunk, who will casually ask you to drop the soap and then tell you to bend over and pick it up. Yes, you will have SUCH a great time in jail.

I must admit I've had a lot of fun stringing you along, wasting your time, etc. Did you really think I went to London to meet you? I wish you had gone, you would have been arrested on the spot. Oh well. It's only a matter of time "John". Only a matter of time before the walls and police close in on you, and then what John? Was it all worth it?

Please note, I've already forwarded all correspondence to the FBI and my local authorities, along with your forged ID and Passport, IP headers, and access to this email account. I think it would be a waste of your time to even engage the FBI at this time considering YOU are a scammer and YOU have been engaging in what amounts to ILLEGAL activites, and they would turn around and just arrest you anyways.

I wish you well in life, and hope you turn yourself around and stop trying to scam people out of their hard earned cash, and instead, get a job and become a respectful human being.
